Why a payout screenshot may not be enough
A platform screen often covers a limited period and may show a net transfer after fees rather than the full business picture. A lender, property manager or other recipient may ask for bank statements, tax returns, notices of assessment, BAS documents or accountant-prepared material instead.
What a useful income history includes
Start with gross trip income and add bonuses, promotions, referrals or other related income. Show operating expenses separately, then the resulting net operating income. A monthly history helps explain seasonality and reduces the risk that one strong or weak week is mistaken for the norm.
Include the reporting period and business activity profile. Keep the detailed trip and expense records behind every total so a question can be traced back to source evidence.
Reconcile before exporting
- Compare trip totals with platform statements.
- Add other income that did not appear as a normal trip fare.
- Check disputed and corrected fares.
- Reconcile expenses to receipts and payment records.
- Review the month-by-month trend for unexplained gaps or duplicates.
Using the EarningsPilotAU report
The income substantiation report combines recorded gross income, expenses, net operating income, monthly history and a business activity profile into a downloadable PDF. Because it is produced from the data in the app, consistent daily and weekly capture improves the result.
Google Sheets sync can provide the detailed trip and expense lines for additional review. BAS and EOFY summaries may also help explain the reporting history, depending on what a recipient requests.
Share the right bundle
Ask the recipient exactly what period and documents it accepts. Supply the EarningsPilotAU report as a clear summary alongside the requested official or independent evidence. Redact unrelated personal information where appropriate, and never alter a figure merely to meet an application threshold.
The goal is not to imitate a payslip. It is to present variable self-employed activity honestly, consistently and with a trail back to source records.
